AU IPR unit gets ASSOCHAM award

Visakhapatnam: The DPIIT-IPR Chair Centre for Intellectual Property Rights, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam has received the prestigious Intellectual Property (IP) Excellence Award during the third IP Excellence Awards and Global IP Conclave on Envisioning India’s IP-Innovation Ecosystem for Vikasit Bharat held in New Delhi.
The event was organised by Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM). The award is for the dedicated efforts and outstanding contributions in IP as a university. Large numbers of nominations on pan India basis were received for the awards from academia and Industry and about 15 were chosen by the jury for conferring the awards.
Under the university category, Andhra University was on top. The awards were presented by Justice Anish Dayal of Delhi High Court. Prof H Purushotham, DPIIT-IPR Chair, Andhra University received the award. Meanwhile, Prof P V G D Prasad Reddy the Vice Chancellor, Prof M James Stephan, Registrar and other faculty congratulated the IPR Chair Centre.
